Location and spatial demarcationKembach is since 01/12/1972 locality of the large district town Wertheim. Already during the Celts time was
the Kembach valley populated. A first mention was the place 775 as "Chentebach" in conjunction with
the founding history of the monastery Holzkirchen.Kembach is located at the confluence of the streams Kembach and Welzbach, in the extreme northeast
from Baden-Württemberg. The local center is 215 m / NN.The district area is 407 ha. Of this, 307 ha are used for agriculture (of which 280 ha are field,
20 ha of meadows and 7 ha of vineyard). The community and private forest covers 100 ha.Kembach is about 10 km from the development axis Miltenberg-Wertheim-Tauberbischofsheim-
Bad Mergentheim and also 10 km from the development axis Wertheim-Marktheidenfeld.
In the regional plan Franken 1995 Kembach is designated as a place of residence. Directly to the built-up area

Kembach is a street village that stretches from west to east to the north. Immediately adjacent to the development, the terrain rises sharply. The ascending vineyards and the adjoining agricultural areas and forest areas characterize the townscape.Much of the building is in the old town center from the 19th century and is indicative of the place.Originally, the two streams were characteristic for the place Kembach. With the defeat of the Kembachs in 1975, the appearance of the place was changed permanently. Following the development, there are extensive orchards in both valleys.In the meantime, structurally rich biotopes were able to develop in three abandoned quarries.
