The Prinzenschule, which existed from 1896 to 1910, was not part of the local cadet institute.
Crown Prince Wilhelm and Prince Eitel Friedrich have been visiting the Prussian Cadet Institute in Plön since 1896. Like her, all of her younger brothers were raised here until 1910.

Very rare and historically interesting postcard from Plön with the "Royal Cadet House". The cadets have gathered on the area in front of the Marsstall for sports exercises and are posing there for the photo. The castle can be seen on the castle hill, and part of the commander's villa can be seen on the right edge of the picture. In the middle is the building of the Art Nouveau swimming pool, which today houses the Kulturforum Schwimmhalle Schloss Plön e.V. and the Alte Schwimmhalle am Schloss restaurant.
