    From Wikipedia German:
Tiwanaku (Spanish: Tiahuanaco) is an important pre-Columbian ruin site near the town of Tiawanacu in western Bolivia. As one of the most important archaeological sites in South America, it was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2000. Tiwanaku was the urban center of the Tiwanaku State and was therefore an architectural monument, pilgrimage destination and political and economic center at the same time. Only about 7%[1] of the former city has been uncovered and examined by archaeologists.
The core of the ruins is located east of today's town of Tiawanacu.
