Vetan, a hamlet of the municipality of Saint Pierre, is located on the northern side of the Aosta Valley in the upper part, at 1,700 meters above sea level.
The small town has very ancient origins, growing in a valley of pastures at the foot of Punta Leissé. Its extraordinarily panoramic position offers a glimpse of the valleys of Cogne, Valsavarenche, Val di Rhemes, Valgrisenche, as well as numerous peaks and reliefs, of which Becca di Nona, Mont Emilius, Pointe de la Pierre, Grivola, Ciarforon can be recognised. and Becca di Monciair (these last two in the distance), and the Rutor glacier.
