From the bottom up on Juniper Canyon Trail, hikers gain an elevation of around 3,300 feet. The first three miles of the trail are relatively flat but have high sun exposure, as there is little to no shade. The trail offers a steady gain in elevation after that and can be very steep in some portions. This trail offers mountain vistas and desert views.
