For most hikers, this is the destination, although the path actually continues further. Here you will find the small church of Agios Ioannis, a water source and, if you are here at the weekend, masses of locals - they come in four-wheel drives over the gravel road from Gerkeri and grill their sheep here.

I can only agree. It's a dream, especially in spring. At the end of April we only met a handful of people on the tour. It's definitely different in summer.
