A caravanserai (outdated spelling also caravanserai or caravanserai (from Persian كاروانسرا kārwānsarā, 'caravan yard', Turkish kervansaray) was a walled inn on caravan routes. Travelers could stay there safely with their animals and trade goods and stock up on food. Large Kara waneries also served as Warehouse and trading center for import and export goods.

It is one of the largest caravanserais that was on the former Silk Road. There was space for around 300 traders inside. There was an adjacent garden for the camels, which is the same size as the inner part.

Hiking
Nice place near the Kahn Palace in the historic center of Sheki. Well restored and there is a coffee shop in the courtyard. Entrance was free.
