Hiking
Castle Rock is located about 2.5 miles west of Leavenworth. It’s a 600 foot diorite crag with technical climbing (or you can just hike up to see it). Upper Castle Rock is accessed from the Logger’s Ledge (a ledge in the rock that you can spectate from if no one is climbing above you), and it’s a broad ledge system located up a trail that starts from the left side of the parking area. Be cautious of rattlesnakes, ticks, bats, yellow-jackets, and hunters during hunting season.
