The Laguna Colorada is a red colored laguna. Simply breathtakingly beautiful. In the high season (December - February) there is a lot going on here. We were here in mid-June 2023 (side session). We had the entire Laguna to ourselves. You can also see flamingos, vicunas, llamas as well as alpacas and chinchillas here. Be sure to pack warm clothes. Temperatures can drop below 0°C at this time of year.

It's wonderful here at the Red Lagoon or the Colorado Lagoon. Water that looks red due to algae, white borax deposits on the shore, green plants in the front freshwater area and hundreds of flamingos! You can walk a small, approx. 1.5 km long circular route. Fantastically beautiful!
