A little tip coming from Plakias (left side of the river from the old mill): Today we took the "path" to Myrthios, which is signposted on the signpost in the photo. The part of the path that goes up to Myrthios on the right from the mill is, in my opinion, no longer "moderately difficult", but difficult. For older people (over 60, like us) it is definitely too difficult because there is too much climbing. In our opinion, it is not advisable to scramble up the section to the next dirt road, especially if you are unsure or afraid. It is better to look for another way back, e.g. back to the chapel and from there up to the next dirt road and then in a slightly larger arc to Myrthios.

I see it exactly the same way... We were there today and didn't go up from the mill, but continued straight on and then back up in a curve... That was quite a climb... But better than the path straight up...
