The baroque castle ensemble of Moritzburg Zeitz consists of the three-wing main building in the rear castle courtyard, as well as the Gothic castle church of St. Peter and Paul, the baroque gatehouse and the outbuildings grouped around the front castle courtyard. The complex is surrounded by fortifications and a moat. The baroque orangery, which is also located to the north outside the fortifications, complements the ensemble.Today the former residence of the Dukes of Saxony-Zeitz is a meeting place. History is preserved, beauty is combined with utility and old with new.
