The church is a single-nave, neo-Gothic building made of quarry stone from 1887, built on the medieval remains of an original building. The interior fittings with altar, pulpit, stalls and organ gallery all date from 1893. The oldest part of the church is the substructure of the west tower, the structure of which dates from the 12th century. Under the east aisle there is a princely crypt from 1575.
