The Powerline Pass Trail starts out as a wide, gravel service road. But as it starts climbing out of the valley here, it narrows down to more of a packed dirt path that can get pretty brushy by late summer. Keep an eye out for wildlife, as bear and moose sightings are common in this valley, and this is the part of the trail where a lot of people tend to turn back toward the trailhead, so there isn't as much human traffic.
