The castle of Romeries, built in the Middle Ages between the 13th and the 15th century on the site of an old feudal mound of the 10th and 11th centuries. At the end of the 16th century (miniatures by Cröy) it looked like a solid fortified castle. Rebuilt in the 17th century (current left part), partly destroyed in the 18th century and converted into a pleasure residence in 1784. The current castle therefore dates from the 17th and 18th centuries, on older foundations (14th).
