The Innerste cycle path runs between Clausthal-Zellerfeld and Sarstedt over 105 beautiful kilometers.

Advanced culture along the way

Numerous sacred buildings and secular mansions are located on the Innerste cycle path. A highlight is the Marktkirche in Clausthal-Zellerfeld – the largest wooden church in Germany. In Hildesheim, St. Andreas with the highest church tower in Lower Saxony, St. Michael's Church and the cathedral with the famous thousand-year-old rose bush are the highlights. Also impressive: the castles in the Middle Innerstetal - Baroque Liebenburg Castle (Baroque church, sculpture park), Ringelheim Castle (monastery church, Baroque organ), Derneburg Castle (Laves culture trail, glass house) and Oelber Castle (former water castle of the century), all of which are privately owned .
