Be sure to leave the path overlooking the station to walk to the old station square and see the front of the buildings, the atmosphere on the platform and some buildings where goods were stored.

Jesseren station is a former railway station along railway line 23 (Drieslinter-Tongeren) in Jesseren, a borough of the city of Borgloon. At the opening of the line in 1882, there was only one stop that was managed from Piringen station. The trains only stopped there on market day. From 1884 there was a daily timetable. In 1886 the halt was upgraded to a railway station and in 1891 it became a self-owned station. After the closure of the railway in 1957, the building was converted into a café. Today it is a house. The freight station served the syrup factory "Grande Siroperie Limbourgeoise" which was located on the station square. The factory was demolished in 1999, the goods station is still there.
