The Calvary Chapels of Le Préal

At the top of rue des Calvaires there is a small square planted with four lime trees. In the center of it, there are two chapels next to each other. On the left, the first is limited to a bay and a semi-circular apse. It has a facade pierced by a large semi-circular door. This is surmounted by a shield bearing the inscription “IHS / MIM / 1671”. On the right, the second chapel does not have a facade. Closed by a wrought iron gate, it is decorated with a baroque Christ on the cross from the second half of the 17th century. These two chapels were undoubtedly built on the site of an ancient cross.
