Älplibahn Mountain Station

Reserve the entrance and exit in good time and allow enough time for a stop at the “Bergbeizli” before departure. Bahn and Beizli are run entirely on a voluntary basis. Regional, seasonal and good. Reservations at: aelplibahn.ch

Small and inexpensive mountain railway with a small pub, a beautiful terrace with a great view, very, very friendly staff and delicious homemade cakes.

The train runs from mid-May to mid-October and the trip must be reserved in advance.

Be sure to reserve in advance! If you're lucky you can go without a reservation, but on the weekend that's pretty hopeless. The one-way ticket costs 12 CHF.
