The three-aisled Church of the Nativity of Mary (Crkva Rodenja Blazene Djevice Marije) was built in 1336 on the ruins of a small church from the 11th century. It was rebuilt several times, the last time in 1993. In 1604 the Venetian lion with a ball in its mouth was placed on its front as a symbol of recognition of the Venetian rule in Labin. At the end of the century, in 1688, the baroque statue of Senator Antonio Bollani was placed in the same place. of fighters against Turks. placed. This bust is one of the finest examples of secular sculpture in Istria in the 17th century.

To the right of the church is the palace of the well-known patrician Scampicchio family, connected to the parish church by a chapel.

The Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary is decorated with six marble altars, including the altar with the relics of St. Justus brought from Rome in 1664. The main altar has a palla with the figures of the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Paulina and Saints Justus, Sergius, Julians, Thomas and Jacob. The author is Natale Schiavone, a native of Dalmatia. Much more valuable is the 17th-century altarpiece of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, the work of the famous painter Jacopo Negriti, better known as Palma the Younger. The Labin painter Valentin Lukas from the 19th century is the author of paintings depicting the Way of the Cross.
