High Falls Gorge Potholes are a geologic highlight within the privately operated High Falls Gorge near Wilmington, New York, just outside the Adirondack High Peaks. Carved over thousands of years by the rushing Ausable River, these deep, cylindrical potholes were formed by swirling glacial meltwater and sediment.
