This trail is commonly used to get to hiking destinations like Mackenzie Pond, Haystack Peak and Mackenzie Mountain. In the winter it is a cross country ski trail. Jackrabbit trail is named after Herman aka “Jack Rabbit” Johannsen. He was a well known skiing pioneer both in the Adirondack mountains and Canada.

Nice short trail through dense, swampy forest with extensive fauna. The frogs sit right on the path in the swampy puddles. Watch out for those mosquitoes!
