Christuskirche Eggesin

The evangelical Christ Church was rebuilt from 1882 to 1884. After 1989 the building was renovated, especially the tower, the roof and the interior plaster. In 1999 a new chime of five bells was inaugurated. The organ was restored in 2009.

The church looks through from afar and is really great.
You can always see the bell tower from the Ueckerwiesen.
There are some stories about the church in town.

On the site of the present church, from 1708 there was a temple also called Christuskirche. The foundation stone for the larger church was laid on March 30, 1882, and the finished building was consecrated on April 3, 1884. The name "Christuskirche" was officially given to it only in 1950. The temple was thoroughly renovated in 1989, and external lighting was installed in 1994. In 2009, the organ was renovated, and in 2015, the stained glass windows in the apse were restored
