Utta Keppler (1905-2004)
Utta Keppler was born the daughter of a pastor in Stuttgart and grew up there. She attended the Stuttgart Academy of Fine Arts until she achieved her master's degree. In 1929 she married and had four sons. She worked freelance for newspapers and magazines and wrote several biographical novels, mostly about female historical figures, for which she studied sources intensively. Utta spent the last 20 years of her life in the Luise Wetzel Home, in front of which her monument stands. The names of historical women whose biographies Utta wrote are engraved on the base.
