Relatively easy but challenging hike. From the Astenberg to the Tatschspitze, you should be free from vertigo for the ridge and sure-footed for the return trip over the boulders below the summit. Have fun with the fantastic view.

Hiking

The hike from the Penser Joch Pass to the Tatschspitze is extremely worthwhile in fine, clear weather. The summit cross at 2,526 meters offers a fantastic 360° panorama. The hike is not technically demanding and is easily manageable for any hiker with a good level of fitness and a minimum of surefootedness. As with any mountain hike, sturdy, well-treaded hiking boots are a must. The last kilometer of the way to the summit is quite steep. Hiking poles are a welcome aid here.
