Köppelmannsberg Ridge Trail

Easy to drive single trail (S1) on the edge of the NSG Köppelmannsberg.
The ridge and upper slope of the NSG are covered with a dry limestone slope forest, which was formerly used as a low or medium forest. In the lower slope, orchid-lined dry limestone lawns can be found, which merge into a beech forest with large fringing areas, dry bushes, an extensive grassland area formerly used as arable land and a spring swamp area down the slope into a beech forest and remain on the path.
Entry or exit at the Plünneckbrunnen below the brine wave pool in Salzgitter-Bad, please also watch out for strollers.

From Liebenburg towards Salzgitter-Bad very nice descent by mountain bike. In the other direction demanding increase.
