The Paul Heyse underpass under the tracks of the main station was built at the beginning of the 20th century and connects Arnulfstraße (Maxvorstadt) at the north entrance with Bayerstraße (Ludwigsvorstadt) in the south. This is where Paul-Heyse-Straße begins, which runs further south to Georg-Hirth-Platz. It is named after the Munich writer Paul Heyse (*1830 in Berlin - † 1914 in Munich), who received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1910 and was one of the best-known German authors of his time.Source and more info
