The trailhead to Barnes Canyon Trail is situated close to Custer State Park Airstrip. The trail is an old gravel road and leads all the way to Calkins Draw Trail in the west. If you are lucky you can spot a lot of wildlife like bison, deer and pronghorn along your hike.
