    Hiking

The Alpine Gardens sit perched above the iconic Tuckermans and Huntingtons Ravines on the eastern side of Mount Washington about 1000 feet below the summit. This unique, treeless meadow of alpine tundra on a wide plateau is slightly more sheltered from the wild, record setting winds and weather at the summit. Please take care to stay on the trail to help preserve this delicate environment.
