Iceland has been increasingly deforested over the past few centuries. It is amazing how few trees there are in Iceland. In the 1950s a project was started here on 13ha with different trees from all over the world. An arboretum that became a success. The forest has developed well. There are also many mushrooms, berries and flowers in the area. Maybe this is the future of Iceland.
