The small reservoir Gmünd - that's also the name of the district of Gerlos - is located directly on the Gerlos Alpine Road. It was completed in 1945. The water flows from the Durlassboden reservoir via the Gerlosbach into the lake. A short tour around the reservoir is highly recommended.
