An archway leads to the Kulturhaus 'Alte Meierei'. In the 19th century, the Blomberg carnation started here. Cloves with names like 'Queen of the Night' or 'Princess von Blomberg' were export hits. The city came to world fame and was nicknamed 'carnation city'.
