The museum tells the story of Monterrey's iron and steel foundry, which began in 1900. Entering the interior of the blast furnace is really impressive.
The steel mill closed in 1986. The museum is a worthy memorial to the steelworkers who worked under the toughest conditions. Furnaces 1 and 3 have been declared National Monuments. A tour of the museum is highly recommended.
