Hiking
The Wupper is a low mountain river with a length of 115 km. After leaving Leichlingen, it flows with only a slight gradient in several meanders to finally reach the Rhine.
Between Leichlingen and Leverkusen, the valley of the Wupper widens and forms a wide floodplain. Before it flows into the Rhine below Leverkusen-Opladen, the course of the river has been relocated and significantly straightened several times.
