Friedrich Tietjen (* October 15, 1832 in Garnholt; † June 21, 1895 in Berlin) was a German astronomer. From 1861 he worked continuously at the Berlin Observatory and discovered the asteroid (86) Semele in 1865. From 1874 until his death he was the first director of the Astronomical Computing Institute founded at the observatory.
