Sayer Pass sits at 7,911 feet in elevation and has great views of the Baring Creek Valley. It was one of the four sites in Glacier to have a locomotive bell installed, which was inspired by the Swiss tradition of placing bells on mountain tops and passes so the hiker or horseback rider could ring the bell to let people in the valleys know they reached their destination.
