Cycling
The surface, consisting mainly of coarse gravel, can be a bit of a challenge in wet conditions (and after the devastation caused by forestry work) if your tires don't have the necessary tread.
If you ride from Oberreichenbach to Hirsau, you can pick up speed rapidly on the descent into the valley. Appropriate bike control and foresight are essential, especially since the terrain can make braking a challenge.
Although you're often alone, you should always expect oncoming traffic and hikers!
