Although the location on the Mainschleife is of course excellent for viticulture, the place is far less well known than Volkach, Escherndorf, Eisenheim, Nordheim or Sommerach.
Astheim is increasingly making a name for itself as a quince stronghold.
In addition to excellent quince wine and Quittensecco is still Quince brakemers, liqueur, -given, -senf, -sherry, -schnaps, -gelee, honey and vinegar produced and I do not know if that was all.
