Unfortunately, when I was there in mid-October 2023, the lake was almost completely dry, so no birds or other animals could be seen. Only the traces of a beaver on the burrow could be seen.

You can follow the boardwalk out from the Wetlands Center and trailhead to the observation blind, where you have a fantastic view of Hidden Lake and all the flora and fauna that thrive here.
