The Museum of the Champions is dedicated to two legends of Italian sport, Costante Girardengo and Fausto Coppi. Both lived most of their lives in Novi (Girardengo was also born there, in 1893) and have always been very much in love with their homelands.
Although it is a nickname that became famous thanks to Coppi between the 1940s and 1950s, the first "Campionissimo" of Italian sport was Girardengo, winner of two Tours of Italy, six Milan-San Remo and three Tours of Lombardy.
