The Verra valley is the most popular destination in the area around St. Jacques. The Pian di Verra is a long plateau rich in vegetation and water, located directly at the foot of the glacier. It is divided into the lower Pian di Verra, or the first plateau (the one with the two Alpine huts of the colony) and the upper Pian di Verra: the latter is located higher up, on the right.
