The history of the forest cemetery was in the 20th century and goes back to the entrepreneur Emil Gernt, who had a mausuleum built there for himself and his family. The natural design allowed the idea of a peaceful forest to be implemented. In addition to the traditional gravesites, the forest cemetery also offers special forms of burial, such as tree burials.
