During the Second World War, the church burned down on July 28, 1944. It was subsequently rebuilt. In 1987, during the tenure of Pastor Jerzy Siary, the church was renovated and restored. During the installation of the heating system, a wall in the crypt of the temple with a semicircular plan was uncovered.
