The summit of the Buchberg cannot be clearly recognized and so it is indicated with two different heights, on topographic maps with 591 m and on numerous popular maps with 586 m Bikes and narrow paths that are mainly used by hikers. The Buchberg is one of the witness mountains of the Neumarkt basin due to its characteristic shape, a typical table mountain, it is one of the unmistakable landmarks and is clearly recognizable.

Great corner for mountain biking: On the one hand, there are beautiful wide (gravel) trails around the Buchberg, which are easy to drive. Around the Buchberg there is also a nice single trail (as already mentioned by the previous speaker), however:

- In wet / wet weather and after rain not dangerous because some gradients are difficult to cope with the bike (muddy climbs, Trail is at times with a slope, slipping as easily happened)

- The trail is relatively narrow and it goes neatly downhill next, falls is very uncomfortable and dangerous (you should have your bike well under control)

- The trail is also very popular with hikers, so beware: Pay attention to pedestrians !!

The trail is therefore nothing for the MTB beginner, but it is incredibly fun;)
