Two-meter people like me should take care of their heads. I know what I write 😉.

The Kitzlochklamm is certainly one of the most beautiful and impressive gorges in our Alpine region. The unique natural spectacle with numerous idyllic bays, towering rugged cliffs, an impressive hermitage and the spectacular bridge make the gorge a special pleasure for the whole family.
With a boundless force the Rauriser Ache shoots through the narrow rocky slopes. For one last time, the crystal-clear water between the shimmering limestone shales roars before it pours into the Salzach Valley. The Taxenbacher Kitzlochklamm is one of the most beautiful gorges of the Austrian Alps, located in the middle of the Salzburger Land. For many thousands of years, rain and meltwater created an impressive natural spectacle on the edge of the Hohe Tauern National Park, the largest protected area in Central Europe. Idyllic bays and jagged, meter-high rock walls attract nature lovers from May to October in their spell. Between mossy stones, the sun's rays dance in the glittering water dust like little elves. Footbridges and tunnels from the 16th century open up the gorge for hikers and walkers who can admire the natural beauties on their tour to the idyllic hermitage. A spectacular bridge high above the roaring water promises thrills for the entire family. The hike continues to the Embach pilgrimage church Maria Elend. On guided tours, visitors learn many details about the origin and discover even more treasures of the wild and romantic gorge such as the scribe.

You can hit your head very easily, but helmets are compulsory in the gorge.
