The Ermine Hill Trail is one of several access trails for the 29-mile Kesugi Ridge Trail, one of Alaska's most stunning thru-hikes. However, Ermine Hill also makes a fine day-hiking destination in and of itself.

If you choose to thru-hike the ridge, be prepared for sudden, sometimes violent storms along the exposed ridgeline. You'll need to either stage vehicles at your entry/exit points or do an Internet search for shuttle services, which are sometimes available for a fee.
