From the Sinnaue there is a good view of Rieneck Castle. Today's youth castle of a scout association has its beginnings around the year 1150. It is the visible testimony of the former County of Rieneck. The county ended as an independent territory in 1559 with the death of the last Count Philip III. The largest part of the county thus fell to the Electorate of Mainz, a small part to the county of Hanau- Münzenberg. The medieval structure was significantly altered in the 19th and 20th centuries through conversion work, resulting in today's appearance.
