The ascent of the Sciliar from the Fiè side is longer and more challenging than the approaches from the Seiser Alm. The Schäufelesteig trail winds its way in steep switchbacks from the "Peter Frag" junction up the ridge of the Sciliar and to the Sciliar huts. A detour to Monte Petz leads to the descent via the Prügelsteig trail to the starting point.

For the descent, I recommend the classic Prügelweg trail (Moar Boden, Sessel Schweige) or via the Seiser Alm (tourist trail).
A definite no-go with bikes!!
With good mountain bikes and experience, you can instead take the Prügelweg trail from the Schlern via the aforementioned Moar Boden, Sessel Schweige, and Hofer Alpl to Völs.
