The Church of Our Lady of Gerdingen is a late Gothic church from the 16th century with a Romanesque tower that was built as early as the 11th century. Some say that the tower was part of a fortress, others claim that it is the remains of a Romanesque church that would have stood on that spot. The substructure of the tower is even older and dates from the 10th century. The church has been restored and rebuilt several times. The most remarkable thing about this church is that it is a two-aisled church. The church of Gerdingen was protected as a monument in 1981 and, together with the surrounding cemetery, also protected as a village view.
