The galaxy trail comprises 14 stations that lead from our own Milky Way through nearby neighboring galaxies such as the Andromeda Nebula (M31) to distant objects such as the galaxy J1148+5251. Their radiation travels for almost 13 billion years before it reaches us here on Earth. The galaxy trail leads from a viewing point behind the 100-meter radio telescope (to the east) over a fairly steep climb through the forest to Martinshütte (Kirchsahr), which is reached after a total of 2.6 km. ©mpifr-bonn.mpg.de/effelsberg/besucher/galaxienweg You can find all stations here: mpifr-bonn.mpg.de/effelsberg/besucher/galaxienweg?seite=2
