Here, near the Brunnenmeisterhaus in today's Sielpark, was the historical nucleus of the Saline Neusalzwerk from around 1821, the forerunner of the town of Bad Oeynhausen (since 1848). After years of vacancy, the house was completely renovated in the late 1990s. For a good 20 years, a restaurant with a fantastically beautiful beer garden was run there, together with the Salz- und Zuckerland next door. Today it is only a residential building and no longer accessible to the public.
